What is real arcade and what does it offer?
Real arcade specialises in casual games specifically designed for addictiveness, this genre of game appeals immensely to a wide variety of people because of their simplicity, these so called family games are ideal for people looking to kick back and not take their games too seriously.
Realarcade Online offers it's games in a number of ways. The first of which would be the Realarcade free trial on each game. You will be allowed to download and play a game for 60 minutes. After 60 minutes have passed you will be given the option to buy the game, it is important to note at this point you are under no obligation to pay for the game. Realarcade online will also give you the option to sign up to a Realarcade Gamepass which is very similar to the other Games on Demand service subscriptions(you can view other services here - Games on demand).

The Real Arcade Game Pass is basically the name given to it's subscription service. The great thing about the Real Arcade Game Pass right now is the free trial that's offered.
The team behind the Realarcade Gamepass have done an immense job of offering a free trial. The 30 day free trial is for all new members. The trial gives you a full Realarcade Gamepass for 30 days including a free game and $5 discounts on other games. You can cancel at anytime should you choose to. While this sounds very pleasing, if you forget to cancel your trial before the 30 days are up you could find yourself billed for $9.99 for the next month. While you are a Real Arcade Game Pass member this billing will occur each month. Now, i know $10 is not much, for me that works out about £5 which is pocket money to some but it would be very annoying to find myself with an unexpected extra bill to pay.. I would like to see a forewarning when i'm nearing the end of my subscription, i'm not currently aware of such a signpost.

The interesting thing about the Realarcade Gamepass is the Gamepass credit, every month you are given Game credit and you use this credit to buy a game up to $20 which you can keep forever once bought. As a gamepass member you also get $5 off other game purchases.

A great feature which adds value to any Games on Demand service is interactivity, Realarcade has plenty. As it stands you are able to earn achievements, chat with friends and record high scores. A great little feature is how you can play a game in a window with a built in chat feature, i really believe this kind of pioneering adds a lot to the value of a service.
If you click the online tab you will be able to play these Real Arcade Games Online. After you've clicked *Online* there is a of games you can play with other people in the community. You still have to use your Gamepass to play Real Arcade Games Online to it's maximum potential which is disappointing but understandable. Where value for money is concerned, being able to play your Real Arcade Games Online with other users bolsters the service to a higher level. It's just really addictive.

If you cancel your subscription you are able to keep the games you have bought already. This is a new feature for Games on Demand and other services such as Metaboli do not offer such a feature. While this may be true, Metaboli and Realarcade are two compltely different services, they're each at the other end of the scale and both offer different things.
The Realarcade Review Verdict
This Realarcade review required something more than the avid gamers thoughts. Realarcade pushes the boundaries into pulling in the non-stereotypical gamers, people who hardly ever use a computer other than to check their email. One thing is certain, the whole family can enjoy the games available from Realarcade. That said, the way you're encouraged to hand over your cash for the games so often is a bit off putting. I enjoy how with other services you can pay for the subscription and forget about money from then on. I like full access to my games, sign up and play till i ruin my eyesight. This is something you just don't get with realarcade. The greatest offset for this is the 30 days free trial you can get. If you're not sure about the service, you just need to cancel and it's over. If you like the simple addictive type games Realarcade my just be what you're looking for if you don't mind being asked for money after every free trial to continue.
